How to find your ring size

Finding your ring size

Here at I Dream of Silver we use US / Canada sizing for our rings. However we have included a conversion chart below for those of you that prefer to use UK sizing.

Option 1 - Measure your current ring

1. Select a ring that fits your desired finger

2. Measure the internal diameter of the ring in mm

3. Use the chart below to determine your ring size

Option 2 - Measure your finger

1. Wrap a strip of paper around your finger where you would like your ring to fit
2. Ensure the paper is pulled snug to fit your finger, and remember your fingers get larger on a hot day.
3. Mark the point where the paper meets and measure the distance with a tape measure or ruler (in mm)
4. Use the below chart to determine your ring size

More tips and tricks when measuring your fingers

  • When measuring your fingers, consider how hot or cold the day is which may alter your sizing. On a hot day, your fingers can increase by unto half a size
  • Towards the end of the day, your fingers will be larger so take this into consideration when measuring
  • Remember alcohol and salt can also make your fingers swell, so don't measure after an evening of cocktails and canapes.
